Waikiki Trolley Pass: Which Lines and How Many Days?
Updated October 24, 2026 · 5 min read
The Waikiki Trolley is a sightseeing network, not a replacement for every Honolulu bus. Its value comes from open-air views, commentary and stops selected for visitors. It does not serve Honolulu airport or Pearl Harbor, so an all-line pass only makes sense when its actual routes match your plans.
What the all-line pass covers
The Waikiki Trolley hop-on hop-off all-line pass costs from €55.35 and has 4.4 stars from 961 reviews. The booking page offers 1-, 4- and 7-day versions for open-air trolleys and double-deckers.
The operator currently runs four principal lines. The Blue Ocean View Line heads east for coastal scenery, including Halona Blowhole and Sea Life Park. The Green Diamond Head Line serves the crater area, KCC Farmers’ Market on its operating day and Kahala viewpoints. The Red Historic Honolulu Line links cultural and civic sights such as Iolani Palace and Chinatown. The Pink Ala Moana Line is the frequent shopping connection between Waikiki and Ala Moana Center. A fifth, the Yellow Kakaʻako Line, links Kakaʻako Farmers’ Market and Ala Moana Beach Park.
Routes and temporary diversions can change. Check the operator’s live schedule on the day rather than planning from an old map. A hop-on hop-off ticket also does not guarantee that every attraction is open or that admission is included.
One day, four days or a week?
A one-day all-line pass works only with restraint. Trying to complete every loop usually turns the day into watching Honolulu from a seat. Choose one long scenic line and one shorter connection, then allow time off the vehicle.
The operator says its one-day multi-line ticket currently includes a second consecutive day. Multi-day tickets become useful when you plan Diamond Head, historic Honolulu and the eastern coast on different days.
The timetable is the real cost
The Pink Line runs much more frequently than the sightseeing loops. The operator currently lists roughly 15-minute Pink Line intervals, 40 minutes for Blue and 60 minutes for Green and Red. Missing a Red or Green trolley can therefore cost an hour. Note the last useful departure before leaving the vehicle, and never build an airport transfer or fixed-time tour connection around the trolley.
The operator’s website does not spell out wheelchair access, so do not assume it. Ask the operator about the vehicle and space for your departure before relying on the trolley.
When it is worth buying
Buy the all-line pass if the ride and commentary are part of the attraction, or if you will use several routes over several days. A single-line ticket can be better for one specific destination, while ordinary public transport may suit travellers who only need point-to-point travel.
The trolley is a poor fit for Pearl Harbor, the airport, the North Shore or a tightly timed day. For broader options, compare Oahu tours and activities rather than forcing an all-line pass to cover places it does not serve.
