No. Honolulu is the main city on Oahu. The island also includes Waikiki, the Windward Coast, Haleiwa, the North Shore and the leeward resort area around Ko Olina.
Official visitor information gives about 30–45 minutes to Pearl Harbor, one hour to Haleiwa and roughly 1 hour 15 minutes to Waimea Bay or the Polynesian Cultural Center. Traffic can add substantially.
Not for a Waikiki stay or a tour with pickup. A car is useful outside Waikiki, but parking and Honolulu traffic can erase the time saved. Always check whether pickup is included.
Pearl Harbor, Waikiki, Diamond Head, the North Shore surf coast and Hawaiian cultural experiences are the main draws. The catalog also has snorkeling, cruises, surf lessons, luaus and island circuits.
Hawaii Island’s active volcanoes, Maui’s Road to Hana and Kauai’s Na Pali Coast are on other islands. A tour mentioning one may include a flight; it is not a road trip from Waikiki.
Non-residents need advance reservations for Diamond Head entry and parking. Hanauma Bay also operates its own reservation system. A general island tour does not automatically include either admission.
