Oahu Luau: Which One Is Worth It and What Is Included?
Updated October 24, 2026 · 4 min read
Most of the choice between Oahu luaus is a choice of evening length. The two dinner options with the most reviews differ by only €9.35 in price but by one and a half hours in length, and they are not the same kind of show.

Ka Moana or Mauka Warriors
Ka Moana is the shorter evening: an island-style buffet, Polynesian culture and a show that starts and ends with fire. It is also the most reviewed, but its 4.2 is the lowest of the two.
Mauka Warriors builds the evening around the Battle of Kipapa and Oʻahu’s forgotten heroes, with food, music, dance and storytelling. Its 4.6 comes from 723 reviews. It is listed under Waipahu, not Waikiki, so ask where the venue is and how you get there.
What to check
The cheapest listing is a show with an optional buffet, not a guaranteed dinner. The Ka Moana version with transportation costs €28.04 more than the ticket alone and has only 10 reviews. A four-hour evening is long if you tire early; if you only want the show, the first listing is the lighter choice. Browse all luau tickets before booking.
